[She grunted and flopped onto a couch before starting to take off her boots. She really didn't get far before leaning back and splaying her arms out.]
Had some sort of weird alchemical drink. Made people loopy and really handsy. Almost everyone was drinking it. Gods... I've never used that rune so often just to hide.
[Asuka sat down beside Samantha on the coach and brought herself close to the demon girl, she wasn't sure if it would help, but it was worth trying nonetheless.]
That must have been awful! Who would want a bunch of random people trying touch you constantly... it make me ill just thinking about it.
[Asuka was one of those she didn't mind being close, for obvious reasons. An arm encircled her waist and she sighed, starting to relax.]
It was all friendly, but at the same time I don't like things screwing with my instincts like that. But, you understand. Still... got through it without having a problem, so I'm kind of proud of myself.
Well now that your home, so you don't have to worry about that kind of stuff anymore.
[Asuka gave her best smile and cuddled close to Samantha.]
I'm proud of you to! I can't imagine how hard it must be to limit yourself to just me compared to how things were before.
[She sounded a little down, part of Asuka felt guilty for forcing this situation on the Samantha. The rest of her however, was greedy and had wanted this since the first day they began seriously seeing one another.]
... it's a lot less hard than I originally thought. I know it sounds a little sappy, but I thought of you now and again and it helped. I guess maybe... I've never really tried to be with just one person.
[She was sugar coating it a little for Asuka's sake. It hadn't actually been that easy, but it also helped that most of the people she talked to knew her, and knew to keep her from misunderstanding what they were doing as flirting.]
But you're right. It's good to be home. How was everything while we were gone?
[Samantha had managed to make Asuka blush on a few dozen occasions by now, but it was rarely for something as saccharine and sweet as this. The admission made Asuka feel special, and happy that someone held affection for her for reasons besides her immense skills as a pilot.]
We..well, of course that makes sense! Why would you even think about being with someone else when you have me waiting back at home for you!
[Asuka was more then a bit flustered, but she would eventually gain enough sense to talk about something else.]
Not to bad... but sometimes I feel like a housewife waiting for her husband to come home when your out like that.
Don't feel that way. [She smirked at her.] You're in the military after all. You can get training time in and try to help form some platoons for the next big fight. Getting the troops ready is hardly some doting housewife you know.
After all, when the fighting gets fierce, you're going to be in the thick a lot more than me.
I know, I know. And its hard work to! I try my best to whip those guys into shape and I'm pretty sure half of them just see me as some loud little girl who has no idea what she is talking about.
[Asuka sighed. It wasn't like she was the military-type ever, but she certainly knew more then some of the motley crew the gods had assembled here in Asgard.]
And besides, even if I was someone's wife, I certainly wouldn't be sitting around all day making dinner and running errands. It's not my style!
It's just a little hard when I'm doing the sneaking around, skulking off to who knows where, while you're getting the defenses ready. I get it. [She snickered.]
Don't tell me you're thinking of trying to convince me to wrap chord around our wrists are you? [She poked her in the ribs] You just managed to get me all to yourself and now you're talking about marriage.
Honestly, I can't see myself ever getting married. Not in a million years. I don't know whats going to happen to me when I get back home, like if the corruption in my eye will ever spread to the rest of my body or maybe getting shot down in combat. Enough people have their futures riding on me as is, adding "wife" to that list would just make things worse.
I've opened up to the whole "romance" thing. But that's about as far as I'm willing to let it go.
[She grinned mercilessly.] Good. I love you dear, but I'm glad you said it and not me. Marriage and succubi don't work well together. I like things just the way they are with us.
You'd be surprised. Mom never married, and I don't know about grandma [There was a brief twist of distaste in her mouth.] So I don't really know. I think... for some of them, they've been here for long enough that they don't care if they might lose each other, they just want to make sure the other person sees how they feel.
But, enough of that. I have a little question. [She got an impish look then in her eyes.] I have no idea what you'll say.
[Asuka blinked several times, pawing through her memories in an attempt to divine just what Samantha was going to ask her. Based on past experience, it would probably be something mildly sexual, and that look seemed to confirm that notion but there was a first time for everything...]
[There were so many possibilities, but this one was totally out of the blue. She grinned a bit and curled her arms around her lover's shoulders, brushing fingers through her hair.]
Well, remember those runes I have? What... would you say if I used the invisibility one one of these days and stole a kiss?
If you tried that without telling me I might have punched you on accident.
[Asuka smiled, she spoke jokingly but it was true.]
But since you warned me...I wouldn't mind it. Just don't try anything else weird while I can't see you. I don't need phantom hands groping me from behind.
Hah, I kind of expected you to slug me just for suggesting it. [She snickered some and winked.] But I know I'll get socked if I try and grope you like some creepy invisible woman.
