[Samantha's response was to curl in more tightly. Her arms snaked around Asuka's body and she slid one of her legs over so that she could try and get into the girl's lap. The scent of sulfur grew a little while her tail lashed with a more animated motion behind her. Keeping her eyes closed, she shivered and nodded.]

I'll stay here as long as you want.

[Asuka was quiet and did little to resist Samantha's advance, allowing her partner plenty of room to do as she wished, for the sensation of having another person so close to her was sightly intoxicating to the young pilot and loosened her inhibitions in a way that their prior makeout session had not.

Perhaps it made her recall the days of her youth, when her mother had still loved her and call her by name, or reignited the feelings of her first clumsy crush at the young age of fourteen. But either way, she liked the feeling and could lay forever in the demon-girl's embrace if allowed to.]

[For Samantha, it was a lot more of those clumsy romantic leanings that were involved, but there was at least the comfort of someone this close to her. She didn't permit it often, and she certainly couldn't have it with Eridan as a rule. Her hands didn't move much, but they did shift around on Asuka's back as she nuzzled there.]

[Asuka laughed as she nuzzled against Samantha. She was definitely feeling better then when she had first left her apartment.]

[The returned affection made Samantha let out a small sound almost like a purr. She could be rather cat-like in her behavior at times. Pressing in a little, she felt her eyes flutter and she whispered very softly.]

Can I... kiss you?

[She didn't want to push it. Even she knew that neither of them was in a good spot for this emotionally, but she wanted to at least ask.]

[Asuka half spoke in her typical hesitent fashion. Anything was better then thinking about the fact that she had forgotten half of her life over night.]

[She didn't remind Asuka that she could stop her anytime, hoping that she knew that. For her, it was just as much the same sentiment as it was her libido. As soon as her lips pressed to the red-head's, she could focus on something that was different from forgetting her mother. Her hands could find things to do other than fidget.

It took her mind off of those things, and she hungered for that ability to no longer worry about all of this nonsense. Just once in her life.]
